Six in seven adults in the United States support their local park and recreation agency’s environmental initiatives. These park and recreation professionals manage a wide-range of environmental efforts within their community, such as wildlife conservation, educating the public on environmental issues, natural resource management, mitigating the impacts from climate change, nurturing pollinator habitats and managing land for flood mitigation.
