From March 7–31, 2014, customers at Macy’s will be asked at the checkout to show a local park some love! Through a national customer engagement program being conducted in almost 700 Macy’s stores, donations of $1 or more will be directed to a local park chosen by each individual store. Additionally, Macy’s will match the first $250,000 raised, dollar for dollar. NRPA is working with Macy’s to assist with program logistics, confirm participation of selected parks and help direct donations at the conclusion of the program. The association is pleased to partner with Macy’s to raise awareness and connect people with their community parks.
