We know professional development is important to you, and volunteering is a great way to get involved in your professional community, meet new people and give back to the field. NRPA has taken a fresh look at volunteering, and we have identified a number of nontraditional ways you can get involved. Please take a look at the revamped Volunteer Opportunities page for easy access to current openings for active members like you.
Not looking for a long-term commitment? No problem! We know you are passionate about your field, so let us share your voice. You can contribute to Parks & Recreation Magazine or write an entry for NRPA’s Open Space blog. Looking for a more extensive experience? Become active in your community through NRPA Network Leadership or consider joining a committee. Committees require varying levels of qualifications and cover a range of topics including certification, accreditation and online learning.
NRPA is your association, and we need your participation, passion and perspective in order to accomplish our collective goals. Volunteering strengthens our professional community. However you choose to participate, from a quick easy task that can be done in a flash or a year-long committee that requires specific expertise, your engagement ensures our success and benefits the profession.
