NRPA is YOUR association! Are you ready to take your membership to the next level? The 2013 Network Leadership program is open and accepting applications until July 12, 2013. NRPA’s Networks need individuals who will provide leadership and engage Network members. We all understand the critical nature of bringing people together and building a sense of community. Being a Network Leader is an opportunity for you to make a difference in your Network and in NRPA.
The benefits of volunteer leadership are numerous and well-documented. Leading an NRPA Network will position you to facilitate the sharing of best practices, information, ideas and experiences. Current Administrators’ Network chair Dirk Richwine describes the benefits of leadership as “a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.” As a Network Leader working to engage your Network, it will be your responsibility to:
• Pose new questions, and monitor and answer questions posed by others on your Network’s online page.
• Contribute documents to the NRPA Knowledge Center.
• Help generate article topics and/or write articles for NRPA’s Parks & Recreation Magazine.
• Identify topics for NRPA webinars and/or online chat sessions.
• Identify and offer input on research topics and field trends.
Network leadership is an ideal way to become an advocate for your profession! Visit the NRPA Volunteer page to find the Network Leadership application form or contact current Network leaders to find out more information. If you have any questions, please contact NRPA Customer Service.
