(June 20, 2018)

Barbara Tulipane, CAE, president and CEO of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) issued the following statement in response to the separation of children and parents at the border:

“NRPA mourns for the children separated from their parents at the border. As an organization that believes in the strength of family and the health and well-being of all people, we are concerned about the irreparable harm this action causes. NRPA urges the administration to act now and rescind this inhumane policy of separating children from their parents.”
