The newly renovated Catherine Street Park located in Baltimore, Maryland
Ashburn, Va. (Oct. 2, 2019) — The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP), along with numerous donors, are excited to announce the revitalization of Catherine Street Park in Baltimore, Maryland. Part of NRPA’s Parks Build Community initiative, the newly renovated park was unveiled Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, ahead of the NRPA Annual Conference in Baltimore.
“Working with BCRP and our donors, we share the vision that everyone deserves a great park, and we look forward to seeing the impact this project has on the city of Baltimore for years to come,” said Gina Mullins-Cohen, NRPA vice president of marketing, communications and publications. “We especially want to acknowledge the group of dedicated volunteers, led by Derwin Hannah, who work tirelessly to ensure people in the neighborhood, especially children, have a safe place to gather, play and exercise.
