Barbara Tulipane, CAE, president and CEO of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) issued the following statement in response to the Senate passage of the Natural Resources Management Act:
“NRPA is pleased the Senate passed the Natural Resources Management Act, also known as the ‘Lands Package,’ that includes a permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and a guaranteed 40 percent in funding for the LWCF State Assistance Program, which we advocated strongly for.”
“We urge the House to act swiftly and pass this important piece of legislation, as it helps provide our member agencies with the resources they need to ensure everyone benefits from parks and outdoor recreation. Because everyone deserves a great park.”
