Granted by The Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), CAPRA accredited agencies provide reviewed and documented high quality services and experiences that meet national standards of best practice.

Program Requirements

How Accreditation is Achieved

CAPRA Accreditation is achieved through a 4 step process that includes a preliminary application; a self assessment conducted by the agency; an onsite visit to evaluate the agency; and an in person hearing with the Commission to determine the final results of their review.

How Accreditation is Renewed

All agencies must submit an annual report and pay an annual maintenance fee to maintain their accreditation.

Accreditation Term

5 year accreditation.
